Ava's Quill and Parchment

Hello there!

So, I'm new here, although I've been blogging for three years now. I just wanted to explore different writing platforms on the internet, so... here I am. I don't know the ropes on Blogger yet - still finding my way around. It's actually a little strange, writing here after three years on WordPress. I'm already trying out the cool stuff on Blogger now and I am fascinated, to say the least. To be frank, I even forgot why I wanted to create another blog; I hope I'll remember some day! 😂

I know now that each writing platform is different and unique in its own way. One has some cool stuff, while another might have things the first one lacks, which are also cool when you can access them. I find this new experience like that. And I do intend to make the best use of all the resources I can access on the internet to have the best experience. I think it'll be nice to see a new set of people everywhere... You know, when you're a traveller and you're in one place for too long a time, you start getting bored of it; you want to take off again. Same case with me - although, I'm no traveller. I mean, I do travel, but I need to have somebody with me; else, it just gets boring.

So, about me. I'm Avalon Greene and that is a pen name. I'm an aspiring author and have been writing for as long as I can remember - never got tired of it. I always preferred writing to speaking, where I felt one had to make extra efforts. Writing always came so easily for me.

I am now officially an adult, though my mind is still childish, like some people keep reminding me. I'm Asian, from this colourful third-world country called India. I write across many genres - stories and poetry, both. Honestly, poetry was something that I thought I'd always dislike. But then, when I myself began writing it, I realised it was not too bad. I began appreciating poems written by others, too. So, you're an avid writer? You got my attention!

I also read a lot of books, take too many photographs, and manage some sewing and embroidery. My major is History, my favourite subject since the sixth grade. My thinking is rather uncanny, so if you cannot understand, you're always welcome to put in a word and I can clarify it for you. I'm a big fan of music. I listen mostly to English music, but I'm also open to suggestions for other languages, whether I can understand them or not.

Right now, I'm trying to juggle my education with my writing. I actually want to make both of them work at once, which I know I'll achieve one day. I just have to wait and execute my duties like I was cut out for. I have some amazing human beings as my best friends, who encourage me sincerely in my endeavour. My parents I owe so much for my very existence - and also for encouraging me to find my own path in life. I can't thank all these people enough.

About this blog... I'm not sure what I'm going to do here. Oh, I'll write - that's for sure. I mean, that's what I do. I guess you'll be seeing more of my work and less of my rant, than at The Mysterious Beyond.

You can also find me on Wattpad, PinterestSweek, We Heart ItInkitt, and Mirakee. I'm not a social butterfly, actually, but I do like what I create out of nothing but letters. It's an amazing feeling. Each of my works has a different tone and memory attached to it. Each of them feel what I feel.

So, welcome to my blog!

That's end of the first Parchment. My Quill needs some rest now. 👋
